This grass seed is designed to thrive in challenging conditions, such as full sun, dense shade, high-traffic areas, and slopes. It is a combination of high-performance grass seed, continuous release lawn food, and super-absorbent growing mulch material, along with a tackifier to prevent seed wash-away and a protectant to shield seedlings from diseases.

Achieving success with Scotts® EZ Seed® Patch & Repair Tall Fescue grass is as easy as following three simple steps. First, prepare the area by removing dead grass and loosening hard soil. Then, evenly apply EZ Seed® ensuring that the area is mostly covered, but bare ground is still visible. Finally, saturate the area with water until no more water is being absorbed and the mulch turns dark brown. To achieve the best results, it is recommended to plant the seed in the spring or fall when daily average soil temperatures are consistently between 55°F and 70°F, or air temperatures between 60°F and 80°F. Also, it is important to keep kids, pets, and lawn mowers off newly planted seedlings until the grass is 3 inches high.
